Back a page in post 781 of this thread I posted a 4 year old photo of some 265/70/16's. I was just about to buy some new tires when I posted that and now the new tires are mounted. 265/75/16's. No lift, no rubbing and they look better than the 70's.

1st photo below. 75's on the left, 70's on the right, and yes. The photos were taken 4 years apart in the exact same location. Note tree in background.

    at3_st_maxx_01.jpg

Both photos below are the new 265/75/16's. No lift.

Those look great and I did the same then added a 2.5 inch OME lift. Is there any noticeable difference in how the tires perform given that they are the same outside of size?

I haven’t had the 75's long enough to form an opinion. They are 10 ply and probably have too much air in them. Rough ride on pavement, nice on logging roads. The 70's were a 4 ply tire, so the ride will be different. I need some time with the 75's to form an opinion and I need to experiment with different psi. They put 40 psi in the tires and I think that might be too much. Might do the chalk test, but many in this forum run 34 in front and 32 in back with these tires which are the Cooper ST Maxx. Should soften the ride on pavement. Eventually I’ll get used to them and won’t notice the rough ride anymore.

BFG KO2 265/75-16 no rubbing, and did great off road. I’ve added a lift since these, and I still really like these tires.

Hey guys, just looking for confirmation before I go get these tires... 265/70/17 BFG KO2 on 2005 stock TRD Sport. No lift but mudflaps are long gone. Will it rub? Ever? Even offroad? Even accounting for old springs up front? I would just play it safe and go with the 265/65/17 but found a set of the 265/70/17 for $300 less...

If they do rub a little, just buy a $9 heat gun from Harbor Freight and mold the plastic.

The side lugs on these Duratracs rubbed the UCA if you really stuffed a tire.

265/70/17 Falken Wildpeak A/T3 zero rubbing, full clearance at turn. Great size of you have to buy tires before your lift kit, IMO.

I ran a set of those in 265X16X75. The worst tires I have ever had. Noisy and never could get them to balance and they would cup badly. I made a mistake in getting the LR E instead of C and that is a lesson learned there too. I know some people have had good luck with them but I did not.

I put 265/70R17 Goodyear Wrangler Trailrunner AT’s on my stock 15 MGM. No rubbing at all. Got them a little dirty yesterday!
