    Hi all!
I live in Decatur Illinois and I am new to the Toyota line. I was a Ram driver. I bought a new 2017 Toyota Tacoma SR. It had 2750 miles on it.
    I love it, I had a 2011 Dakota Bighorn.
It is a White 4 door truck, 2wd. I don't need the extra bells and whistlesMy Tacoma.jpg

I didn't even get intermittent wipers on this truck. I know of old cars that have that on their vehicle. So I questioned my dealer, I was told it was not available. So I said , "If I bought a Toyota Tacoma SR-5 it would have them" The dealer got my drift finally. It will cost $700 to add. I am thinking about seat warmers and fog lamps. Little by little! First was the truck, then...........

Do not pay $700 to add intermittent wipers, all you have to do is change the switch for the intermittent one less than $150 if you buy it from dealer. And there are tons of threads on here if how to do it, I think it's just two screws to take it all apart really. Fog lamps there's a great write up on here by nitoris for adding them to an SR.

I was told I need a new wiper motor and the new hand control.. I could go to the junkyard and get the parts. I might be able to do the job!

I really love my new truck, I know it is dependable. I had a Dodge Dakota Bighorn. It never let me down. I am three days short of two weeks since I put gas in it and I still have over 1/4 tank.! My old truck I would have had to put gas in it by now. Big difference!

You just have to swap out the switch, this link has all the info on it.

Are you saying that I don't need a different wiper motor, and that the motor on my truck will work?
