Has anyone had this problem? Tailgate removed, reinstalled & the camera plug was reconnected but the camera is not working. I’m trying to trouble shoot this before wasting time at the dealer.

After rechecking the connection the screen is just black when in reverse.

Check that the pins weren’t ejected and not making contact on both male and female ends of the harness. Make sure the harness wasn’t pinched/spliced during reinstall of the tailgate or have a harsh turn angle/radius causing this stress to cause pins not making contact. Reset your battery power by unplugging the terminals for 5-10 minutes after doing so.

Have you tried unplugging it and plugging it back in? Jk

I would think you just need a reset if everything looks good like the above said.

Thanks for the tips, I’ll take a closer look at the pins, rather than just the plug connection.

If I did a ten minute battery disconnect would that erase my settings in entune?

Did you apply the plastic cap while tailgate was removed?

Yes, the dust cover was installed while the tailgate was off.

After checking the connection two or three times, still didn’t work. Then I called the dealer and brought it to them. It only took about twenty minutes and they brought the truck back around front for me. The service advisor gave me some story about the plug being tricky and they straightened it out. Now, I’m certainly not the smartest guy around but I know how to connect a deutsch type plug but it still required a trip to the dealer? Who knows what the dealer did to it but it was minimal time there and it works now but mildly frustrating.
