Very sorry for your loss, RIP Laila.

Our dogs are such unselfish, loving friends. They seek merely to be near us, and to please us. It is obvious that Laila was fortunate to have a devoted, loving Dad.
Dogs send, and receive love without being encumbered by language. Laila felt your love, through touch, as she made her transition away from the physical plane. She was comforted by you, and needed nothing more than your touch at that point. She was sending her love back, I’m sure of it.

This is a difficult time, but know that you both enriched each other’s lives immeasurably. Peace to you, my friend.

Neurological issues are very difficult to diagnose cause they can happen over years or suddenly.
I put down my corgi a few years back due to spinal issues. It started in his rear feet then worked
its way up to his hips. A few weeks later he started banging his head into walls and into his crate.
Beau ended up smashing his face up and streaking blood across the walls cause he couldn't deal
with the pain. I just could let him hurt any longer so I decided to let vet put him to sleep. Man it
was so horrible cause Beau was a bad ass little corgi with no fear. To see him hurting and knowing
we couldn't do anything since it was neurological really sucked. I really wish our dogs could live forever.

So sorry to hear this. I've had to do that twice. By far the 2 worst days of my life. Keep your head up and know that you gave her an amazing life.

Thats hilarious!!!! We just had 18" snow and it was bigger than him.

 

The Snap-On guy has two of those. Neither weighs more than Riley's head but he'll play with them.

 

My pup is starting to show some fight drive and she's taken it upon herself to protect and watch my little sister. I think I might want to protection train my mutt if she has what it takes. Hopefully she gets a little bigger because she's 6 months and sitting at 41lbs. But she's very friendly to everyone and cautious when she needs to be so we'll see!

That growth chart was almost spot on for my dogs final weight. I tracked it 5 or 6 times while he was a puppy. All along it hovered close to 70 lbs and he's right at 70 at 15 months, so I would say it's pretty accurate.

Bailey. First hike as a 4 month old
