My dad worked at USPS for the postal inspection service. They dont have a shortage of "special" employees.

Had the exact same thing happen to me at work one time.

 

nope I have narrowed it down to the signal though. The high input connection is not working. I ordered a line output converter, going to run RCA cables and a remote wire to turn it on vs. trusting the rear speaker input to do the job and I am assuming that should fix it all.

As far as I know we are heading to Hidden Falls Friday morning (3-16) and will be there until Sunday (3-18). I'm not sure who all is going - but for sure there will be a couple of us (me and @trekker ) - we will see if anyone else shows up. That's plenty of people to hit some trails and have some fun though!

 

That'd be great for us, I'll probably be the most stock suspension there. I've got a 2017 off road full suspension and will be installing a taco lean spacer before we get there, but that's about it. I have AALs just not installed.

I had that same issue with a kicker unit before I threw in the towel and had my JL stuff installed

 

Maybe we can get those AAL installed while we're out there and flex out that rear axle to test.

 

You'll be fine! I'm not trying to do anything crazy anyway - I'm still pretty newb and get super nervous if I go off camber.

 

That'd be badass! I'll have to buy the extended center pins and bring them with just in case, I've got every tool I own including jack/jack stands in my truck so it's basically a rolling shop.

My first wheeling experience was supposed to be an easy run in the mountains in Colorado but I somehow got onto a moderate run covered in snow, I had to do a controlled slide around 100 yards down a steep hill just to get back to the original trail. My girlfriend was a little freaked out.

 

Understandably so!!!

 

I did just throw on some new tires though so I'm itching to test them out. I was running highway tires on the Colorado trip which made that experience worse.

 

What kind of tires did you go with?

May sound dumb, but did you try reversing the +/- signal wires? I think my Kicker powered subwoofer won't play any sound if they're reversed.

Edit...I'll also add that mine is tapped into front speaker, if it makes any difference for signal strength. Don't you have to tap into the same speaker wires to connect the LOC? Thinking out loud, but seems like you might get the same result if you're just not getting a signal. I believe you can check for a signal using the AC voltage setting on a multimeter.
