I'm on the fence about the new Street Bob. Performance and handling are supposedly better because of the softtail frame, but smaller motor and tank and I can't forget the Dyna's timeless styling with exposed rear suspension and better looking tank.

Im probably buying a Sportster 48 tomorrow. The sales guy did tell me about the phasing out of the older Dynas, vs the new softails. But my minds been set on the 48 for a while.

This one is badass, but an $800 special edition paint option.. plus I dont want ABS or the security module.

Looks awesome. Makes me miss my Nightster. The release of the Iron 1200 almost puts me back on a sporty.

the only reason not to want abs is for sliding the rear around? otherwise it wont kick in/if ever. thats what ive noticed on my 690. can still pull up the rear tire.

Watched a propo DVD about ABS from the local dealer. Didn’t promote it as much as educated about it. In the end they said it was rider’s choice. Id prefer without because I can expect the bike to react a certain way with rider input (including losing traction). Not saying I can out-ride ABS, but at least I won’t be freaked out if it comes in trying to save my stupid ass.

The way i look at it, it won't kick in unless I've already screwed the pooch. I wouldnt buy a new car without it, and figure the same for a bike.

I'll fight anybody that says the regular Scout looks better than the Sixty. Black FTW. Plus, they removed 5th instead of 6th, so no change in cruising.
