Smokin deal there! I’d jump on that too. Was there some sort of sale or special discount you got? I’m closer to $1800 OTD locally spec’ed the same.

Decided with my dealer on the ARE-CX. Seeing both sides of the fence on here as far as fitment (taller than cab, and gaps). But most of those complaints are from awhile ago. Seen some posts that look great tho. Anyone got input?

Has anyone mounted any small lights in the Thule roof rack? I'm looking to mount some small light bar of sorts just to give some more light when camping.

Are you thinking for inside or outside of the shell?

Lots of cool options for led lighting tied into the 12v from your truck. I went cheap and simple: found a couple battery operated led tube lights on Amazon super cheap. Mounted them to the inside of the windoor, so that when the windoor is propped open I can turn on the light and have area lighting. If it works out, I'll buy another 1 or 2 and do the same thing to the rear door.

Interesting idea. What lights did you use may I ask and how did you attach them?

    I got these:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073Y46C9X
They come with a little mounting bracket that I attached to the windoor for now with velcro. If I like the spot, I might make it more permanent, but the velcro might continue to do the trick. I can grab either of them out of the bracket and use around camp, which is nice.

I have a ARE-CX shell on my tacoma and love it! If you plan on putting any weight up top like a RTT just make sure it’s very secure. Mine did slide a little after I got it installed and put some small scratches near the back of the bed but other than that no complaints

Nice! How’d you fall on that deal? I’m in ATL and monitor area Craigslist’s pretty actively.

Just luckily came across it.. called a bunch of dealers in Georgia because nobody had anything in Nashville.. found it at the leer accessory shop in Conyers. They said A customer ordered the wrong size so they were selling it for cheap.

Lucky you. I call the dealers about twice a month to inquire about the same sort of thing, including blemishes or used ones. Not too many used 3rd gen models pop up in the area.
