Miles to Empty vs Fuel Tank

It's funny we've gotten to the point our fill up habits change based on what a computer display tells us. Dude, just drive it until E, or whatever your refill interval is. The DTE is just a very rough estimate.

 

Sounds like you need to get out more and explore!

 

My exploring days are all in my rear view mirror. Today, I enjoy just looking out the window at my truck.

 

I'll double check next time, Wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong!!!!!!

I've only had it 1 month....

 

These are the two numbers that I get as well. Regardless of how I drive it.

 

Another way to look at it is I drove mine till it said I was 5 miles from empty and filled up, I had almost exactly 2 gallons still in the tank based on fuel capacity spec's.

 

My Tacoma on full tank only gets 333 miles, co workers same one get around 360, why is that ?

 

I actually put in 87 oct. yesterday and it rest my fuel miles to 415. It would usually only reset to 385 when I put in 91 oct.. I am not sure why this is. Doesn't make to much sense to me.

 

Once every three months?!? Holy crap. I fill the tank once or twice a week!

DTE is based on your average MPG and the amount of fuel in your tank. It's going to fluctuate.
