Miles to Empty vs Fuel Tank

    It's funny we've gotten to the point our fill up habits change based on what a computer display tells us. Dude, just drive it until E, or whatever your refill interval is. The DTE is just a very rough estimate.

    Another way to look at it is I drove mine till it said I was 5 miles from empty and filled up, I had almost exactly 2 gallons still in the tank based on fuel capacity spec's.

    My Tacoma on full tank only gets 333 miles, co workers same one get around 360, why is that ?

    I actually put in 87 oct. yesterday and it rest my fuel miles to 415. It would usually only reset to 385 when I put in 91 oct.. I am not sure why this is. Doesn't make to much sense to me.

    DTE is based on your average MPG and the amount of fuel in your tank. It's going to fluctuate.
