    Too much.
    I did search.

I have a 2018 Sport DCSB. I'm thinking of adding the Fix 86 to my overall system to clean everything up. Anyone have one? Where did you put it? How did you power/wire it? My overall audio consists of:

    1. Subaru tweeters
    2. PPI 6.5 woofer drivers (front doors)
    3. Kicker 6.75 coaxial (rear doors)
    4. JL 10TW1-2 sub
    5. Arc Audio 850.5
    6. Entune Premium

    Thanks in advance!

You can just get power from behind the radio.

I would put it close to your amp.

Thats all I have for you....

What are the upgrade goals? The FIX will use its EQ to 'fix' the OEM signal and flatten it, and sum any channels to make 3 pairs of RCA outputs. I don't know whether you can use the FIX's EQ as a regular EQ for fine tuning - it has a 30 band EQ, and it may be just intended for boosting/cutting peaks and valleys to flatten the signal. Not sure whether it lets you do crossovers or not.

The TWK gives you channel independent EQs, fully independent crossover control, timing alignments, ability to make a center channel, etc. Almost too many options. If you go with JL, you may need both boxes to have all the DSP controls.

Some of the reviews I've read on these are that the components aren't necessarily the 'best' audiophile grade components. But that's one-off 'people of the internet' reviews - so its grain of salt.

You bring up good points. I'm not looking for mega ultra SQ, if I were, I wouldn't be running the kicker tweets and rears. I'm just looking for clean sound. I'm going to go without for now and see how I like what is getting put out. My biggest concern is just wiring it for power and auto on more than anything else. But at this price point (authorized JL reseller) it's so very tempting.....

That’s a great price point - many of the modern audio electronics (good brands, not the brands that copy the 90s stuff) have a little piece part go bad. Once the part is replaced, the rest of the unit will carry on for a normal 10+ year life cycle with normal use.

The reason why the JL DSPs are cheaper in price is because they separated the OEM integration functions from the typical sound adjustment functions I listed above. Instead of spending $700-$800 or $1000 on all-in-one DSP, we get the choice of purchasing what’s needed.
