I’ve been on here for awhile, found this forum, and thought I’d check in! I’ve already spotted @matt636 in the wild, thought maybe there’s a few others around. I’ve been a Tacoma owner since July. Started with a 4cyl sr utility, had some growing pains, and decided to upgrade. After shuffling the stable, and selling my 370z, I’m now in a Barcelona Red 2017 Pro. So, if you see me on the highways and byways, say hey!

Jeff - where in Central Illinois? My wife and I both went to Illinois and her family still lives in Tuscola. We are down in Tuscola at least 4-5 times/year. My '18 Pro will be ready in April!

I live in Bloomington. We take a road trip down to the outlet mall in Tuscola several times a year. You never know, we might see you on I-57.
I’m now in a Cavalry Blue Pro, as my red one was rear ended and totaled.
Welcome to Tacoma World! This is an outstanding community of great people, lots of good advice. What color are you getting?

the outlet mall is what Tuscola is known for! Sorry to hear about your previous Pro....but Cavalry Blue looks fantastic! I'm getting Midnight Black and can't wait to see it in person.

I saw that on a new Camry, it has really cool multi colored flecks in the black that show in direct sunlight. Very cool.
I guarantee you will LOVE your pro! Toyota really got it right. Amazing in every way.

Ripped off all four mudflaps. Scratches all down both sides 6112’s up front on 3rd notch 5100’s in back with Toytech 1” block Skids & sliders from SOS Concepts I got rid of the 1” block and put on Wheelers 1 1/2” progressive AAL. SPC UCA. Be sure your standing on the drivers side when reading the instructions! I swapped sides so many times that I can swap UCA’s in 15 minutes. I put in the 3/4” spacer to eliminate the Taco Lean, and just got my 4th alignment. Traded the OEM rims for 17” Sport rims and a bora bora 1” spacer. I got my Firestone 285/70/17 MT2’s. Pelfreybilt gas tank skid and hi-lift jack should be here Friday. Looking at bumpers, but I think they will wait for next year. So far I’m happy with my build. I’ve done it all myself, leading to a lot of cussing and frustration, but it’s all mine.
My wife was born in Champaign, I met her in California, married her in Reno, and now live in Indiana.
My 2012 was sold new in Mattoon. 3rd rock from the sun stuff.
My regular run is over to Champaign, Mattoon, Vandalia, Effingham, back up, then back over here.
If the weirdo in a Frito Lay semi is waving at any of y’all,, that would be me.

Yeah, cool! I’ll know who it is then. I used to talk to the frito lay guys quit a bit in the early 2000s. I worked for Canteen vending back then, in the Bloomington warehouse. We would get a biweekly wednesday delivery. It used to mess things up when the clocks would change here, but not there, lol!

My brother in law lives in Matoon so we very well may run into you on 57! Will look out for the Frito Lays Truck!

Also, saw that you live in Kokomo! About 25-30 years ago, my dad and I would make the trip out there a few times a year to visit his best friend and their family. There wasn't much around but open country back then.

Corn, corn, soybeans, some lettuce and corn. I like it here though. Hills and an ocean would be nice. Flat Kokomo beats California.

Badlands is closed this weekend for a dirt bike race. That blew up my plans. Anyone doing anything Sunday that has room for one more almost stocker?
