It's definitely most noticable there with the light rain and reflections. Much smoother in person, at least I think so.

Sure, the shop has a set of pictures on their facebook and I've uploaded a fair amount to the "what have you done to your 3rd gen" thread if you go to my profile.

I realize the '18s have just started hitting the lots, but I'm wondering if anyone who's getting an '18 Taco with all the new TSS-P, if you have plans of putting a front bumper on with a center hoop, if it's going to mess with the TSS-P? For example, will the Pelfreybilt front bumper with the center hoop affect the TSS-P?

I know they offer many options with out the center hoop, but...

Do any of you manufactures plan on doing a new design for '18?

    ARB Summit bumper specific question.

I ordered my ARB bumper on 12/15 from an Amazon vendor.

I received the bumper itself on 12/17.

I have yet to receive the mounting hardware, fog light kit, indicator lights ect..

When I have ordered these bumpers in the past they were shipped with everything in a big box for the more recent ones or in a wooden crate in the early 1990s.

My question is... Is it common now for the bumper to be shipped separately from the mounting hardware or did mine fall off the (junky, broken) pallet somewhere?

IIRC ARB's fog/fog bezels were sold separately?

A lot of these plate bumpers especially the custom ones are installed way to close to the body especially fender and grill. For example the Origami bumper looks to be within 1/8 of the fender, at least on the pics. The bumper is mounted to the frame obviously. The vehicle body is mounted to the frame as well but the body mounts provide enough flex and cushioning that you get quite a bit of movement between the bumper and body of a lot more than the gaps I see on a lot of these plate bumpers. I used to run an ARB on my 2nd gen and had to lower it twice because it was making contact with my fenders, needed 3/4 inch gap and it still would touch on rough fast dirt roads... there is no way a 1/8 gap won’t lead to damage unless those trucks stay on the pavement.

3423150 bumper comes with filler panels for the fog lamp holes.

3423150K comes with all the bells and whistles included according to ARB. This is the part number that I ordered. I have not received anything other than the bumper itself. No brackets. No hardware. No lights. No harness.

    100% agree!
These tuck bodys move even more that previous models. Here a good example of how much, when the truck is on flat ground my body to bumper gap is about 1/2"-5/8" in this photo one side is touching and the other is now a couple inches away. Like you said, I don't see this ending well with the full replacement bumpers that don't have proper clearances. IMG_0053.jpg

I just noticed this on my truck after some mild off-roading. The body flexed so much and contacted the bumper...there is rubbing marks on both sides where they meet. Also, from the flexing it snapped my passenger side headlight brackets.:frusty:

Yeah, imo the gaps need to be tight to pull off the look of a full replacement bumper, unfortunately these truck need at least 5/8" clearance and that would not look right so manufacturers close the gaps without thinking of the consequences. This is one of many reasons I will not offer a full replacement bumper for these trucks. You will start to see more and more reports of damages caused from improper body gaps as time goes on, the same thing happened in the 5th gen 4Runner threads.
If it touches with minor off-roading imagine what would happen in a minor collision.

Bummer! I like the design of your modular aluminum front bumper! Hope you still make some. I would purchase one if you solved this clearance problem and the price was right. Otherwise I like the CBI T3, SOS that mesojdm has, Demello and Pelfrybilt full plate. But Im not sure if they all offer aluminum or have enough clearance from body to off-road without more damage then I inflict already. Really like the Lo-Pro style too (Slimline/Streamine/C4 LoPro) but don't want to regret it when full protection may be needed.

I do plan to offer the bumper that I have on my truck, this is not a full replacement bumper. Full replacement means the entire factory bumper gets replaced and no trimming is required.
The bumper I plan to offer will require trimming as well as all the one you mentioned above. IMG_0048.jpg
