I’d like to be able to hear radio traffic when I’m outside the truck, like when we stop along the trail, etc.

It's not that I need one I just want one lol, I have a couple times where it would be useful

Thats the route I might go, I don't need it to be loud enough for other drivers to hear really, just people around me. Is hooking up a CB as simple as running all the wiring and hooking up the antenna? I need to do some research...

Yeah, you just connect power to the radio and run a cable to the antenna. However, you do want to tune the antenna for the best signal with an SWR meter (or take to a CB shop). Depending on where you mount the antenna, you may need to ground it with a separate wire. The bed is not metal so my bedrail mounted antenna required me to ground the mount to the frame for best performance.

Yeah I would mount the antenna near the tailgate above the tail light, thanks for the info!

Sweet! May need some new rear tires though...
I have never heard of a 0-10 db slope. I bet those are presets for diff slopes as they are usually more like 6db, 12db, 18db, 24db, etc slopes. I would probably put it around 3 or 4 because i assume the higher the number the steeper the slope, and you dont want to have a sharp cutoff on your sub. It needs to blend. If you send me the specs of the sub you bought i can try to find some specifics.
I would say get a cb. But if you plan to be using it all the time then buy a stand alone CB that will be loud. The only use i see for the CB PA is to yell at people on the trail when they cant hear their radio. Personally i havent used it on the trails, i am usually out of my truck also, but i think that if it were raining i would probably use it
Hmmmmm..... it would be nice to yell at people on the roads while driving. I think my pre recorded message would say "left lane is for passing"

What was the general consensus with the office?

We are waiting for an email to come out at 10:30 that details what our new email signature is going to be and that you need to change it...

So influx of phone calls from people that have no idea how to change their signature on their email...

According to this, if there's a piece of fish between that bread, it is not a sandwich. Fish is neither meat nor poultry.

    this is the sub https://www.crutchfield.com/p_777B8...a&awnw=g&awcr=48387319825&awdv=c&awug=9027220
this is probably true. unless you use two pop tarts as bread and put something between them

but what about an egg salad sandwich or veggie sandwich. If they are not sandwiches what are they!?!?!

Listen... go buy some pop tarts, put some meat between them and shove that waaaaaaaaaaaay up your butthole.

    @Zac of all trades

I need you to change the poll to include the following options.
    1. A poptart is not a sandwich
    2. A poptart is a sandwich

I brought my lunch which consists of a burrito bowl sandwich. If I had not brought my lunch... then Jersey Mikes would be on the menu.
