Joining the scratched paint club

Either keep it filled with wax or buff it out with compound

 

I've got probably about 50-100 (no joke) scratches like that on my truck, and 2 or 3 scratches that are MUCH worse. The first few scratches make your heart bleed but once you pop that cherry, you won't ever think about it again... And this is coming from a guy who is leasing lol

 

Aye-yup. Mud covers everything .... so win win.

Didn't you notice your 3 tone factory paint job?? I mean hey TBH, paint is an after thought on these trucks specially the MGM color. Just sayin.

I have a few minor scratchers on mine. Mostly from rocks etc. It's a truck, so meh

 

Wait... you buffed out a scratch on your tail gate?? I think I scratched the tail gate driving my truck out of the stealership.

 

Scratches = HP Increase

 

Gotta be 20hp gain on the butt dyno and you get bragging rights! Look I went wheeling and got a scratch .... <tears> turn into another problem solved.

Damn. Seppuku has this romantic air about it tbh. I would kneel down in the bed, facing away from the cab (this is all happening in the parking lot of a Catholic high school) and I'll shout "death to domestics! Emperor Toyoda smiles upon me!" while I reclaim my honor with a Persian shamshir.

Thee are worse ways to go.

How long have you owned it? What took so long?

 

Dents and dings will break my bones but scratches will never hurt me.

 

I like that...

Here's my scratches and broken lamp and a dent (oops not in pics) to go with:

I think I fucked up and hit the lamp with a kayak.. or 2...1 hit the lamp bounced off and scratched my truck. The other kayak just hit the truck and put a dent in it... hard to see from driver seat so problem solved.

 

Buff it out. I've taken out much worse scratches than that on my truck. Check out my thread on how to do it.
