    Too much.
Perhaps that'll work. Thanks, but it's out of stock as well....

I always wanted home link and when I bought my 16 TRD Sport I thought it had home link but it didn't. Just a few weeks ago I saw a post on YouTube where a guy put a Gentex mirror with home link in his TRD Sport . Keep in mind you have to have the auto dim mirror already, I picked one up on EBay for $125.00 and the install was 5 minutes, all plug and play. Just a thought and another option tou can check into.

That's nothing, I paid about 10 grand more to have the homelink mirror! :anonymous:

I did the same for a convertible that we had that didn't come with an autodimming mirror. Easy to swap and adds relatively inexpensive functionality. I was a Gentex that I used and it worked for over 10yrs.

That was my solution in my 2G. It's a module from a GM vehicle and fit perfect.

You can get a Gentex home link mirror on EBay for as low as $115.00 up to $200.00.

For all of those worried about AoB switches being latching... You can open them up and remove the latch mechanism to turn them momentary in about 30 seconds. Or, I have a handful of the momentary thin/tall garage door switches from AoB on hand if you'd like to purchase one.

For anyone who wants to drop cash on a garage door button (or buttons) that turns on/off with the truck, has backlight and also lights up the additional light when depressed - pre-wired and ready to go, I have sold a few of those. Heck, I can even wire in a battery replacement so that the battery never dies (without the truck's battery dying), if you'd like.

It's not hard, but some people find this stuff very intimidating, so it's a service I offer.

Do tell. I was concerned that they may be sealed. How is it done?

I’d be interested in one of these, do you have a pic of one of the switches?

What you need to do is first remove the cover by holding the switch in one hand then with the other pull firmly on the cover just make sure the switch is in the off position
Then you can open up the switch with a small screw driver you will see it unclips towards the back of the switch on one side
Once you have done this you will see the circuit board and at the front near the lights in the middle is the switch mechanism
On top of the switch you will see a small triangle and when you look into this you will notice a small copper looking wire all you need to do now is get a small hook and pull this out and then the switch will be momentary

You have won the internet today. Thank you so much, just switched it to momentary.

I did the same - found a plug n play homelink mirror for our 3rd gen tacomas - auto-dimming/compass/3 homelink buttons.. I think I paid around $150 a year ago for it, well worth it! Strange the TRD Sports don't come with homelink mirrors from the factory.

    Brettec,
I really thought the TRD Sport had Home link, when I got it home and went to set it up, no home link. A few weeks ago I was on YouTube and spotted a video of a guy putting on in his 2016 Sport, next day I found one on EBay and installed it as soon as it came, about 15 minutes start to finish.
