hmmm. pics dont look bad. be careful though, the 3.slow v6 is known for its head gasket problems. if you want to build an offroad rig out of that it would do ok but its not the best candidate with the auto trans and t-case that goes along with that.

make sure there are no holes in the frame... body looks ok so I would hope frame rust would be ok too.

i took one in on trade- a 98 limited 4x2 tho so it's probably nothing that you want....it's paint and interior is ROUGH....but the engine and tranny is strong according to the techs.....

probably should send it to auction

That is a killer truck but 10.5 is a bit much. I would think 6 to 6.5 is a good buy on that. but it does have all the work already done and has a strait body.

I agree about the 3.0 not being the best motor. I've replaced the head gasket or 2. I even burnt a piston up one time. The auto tranny is a peice of junk from what I understand too. The truck itself looks cool though. If you are going to build it then at least get rid of that tranny with a manual. I like it and if it isnt too tore up I think its a good deal. Have fun and good luck

My uncle has an 86 that is about to roll 300k on an original 22R(E? its EFI). Runs like a top. The t-case goes into 4-wheel easily, but doesn't like to come out, and reverse gear is missing a tooth which sounds horrible. Great to beat around in though.
