I ride motorcycles and have a lot of home projects that require more carrying space.
    I got a 4 door because I have kids.
I got 4x4 because it just happened to have come on the truck, which I bought used. I've never really needed it though.
I lifted it because I like the look and wanted more clearance for when it floods.

As a homeowner you kind of need a truck time to time.

Grew up around trucks, but never had one. So I wanted one.
Wanted to sit up higher than all of my previous cars (always lowered my cars).
Wanted 4x4. I've only used it for heavy snows though.
A lot of home projects that I use it for (yard stuff, built a shed, haul lumber). We bought a lot of furniture and bunch of random stuff for the house over the last 3 years.
I can drive to Discount Tire with the tires in the bed without stuffing a car with tires.
With a kid, its pretty handy while traveling. I put everything in the bed (i do have a tonneau cover) when we go on long trips and doesn't clutter the cab.

Because it’s better to have something and not need it, then to need it and not have it.

    4. Have a long driveway that I need 4WD in the Winter
    5. Like sliding in, I hate falling into cars.
    6. Wanted a V6 (which is becoming rarer everyday in everything)
    7. Hauling Stuff (Though I usually use my S10 for this while its still running)

In all honesty, I probably could have gotten away with a Wrangler Unlimited which I was also considering since I have another truck but I knew my other truck was getting older, I always wanted a Tacoma, wanted the bulletproof reliability and I refuse to own anything made by FCA.

The reason I drive a truck:

So I don’t have to crawl in and out of a little car

I take mine off-roading, however, before that I bought the truck so that I could throw dead animals in the back (hunting) :hungry:. Trucks work much better for that particular hobby than sedans.

A multitude of reasons I could no longer ignore

    - I refuse to borrow my friend's trucks and it's common that we need one for household tasks and have to rent them
    - Garbage runs
    - hauling bikes around, it's just easier with a truck, especially with multiple bikes and all the associated gear
    - For the 3 days of snow each year, a sports car has been worthless when North Carolina shuts right down.
    - careless parallel parking option
    - mitigated depreciation curve
    - we've taken a liking to tailgaiting, not as much fun in a trunk

tough. my last car got totaled cus it wasn't.
    MT.
    E tires.
    4 doors.
more fun to drive than every sports car i've ever had or driven. cus you can drive it at the limit all the time if you know how. you can't do that in a sporty car, usually not even at the track.

I actually wanted an SUV like the 4runner. My wife doesn't like boxy vehicles, unless it's a truck.

Plus being a homeowner, there is always a time you need one.
