Cannot cancel, part of having shocks built to your own specs.

Oof, for the price of the same shocks I want from ADS I could have gotten bypass shocks from King, plus no welded lowers from ADS.

I work at an off-road shop. So I had my boss order them. I already checked with dsm and they didnt have them in-stock. I ordered the total chaos spec shock for their +3.5 kit and added adjusters to the reservoirs. Put in the order the beginning of February. Typically we get coil overs in about a 4 week lead time. Bypasses are longer at around 6 weeks. Same with usually custom stuff. (anodizing and custom rod ends like @Speedytech7 is getting.)

ADS seems to only due standard length billet lowers and extended billet lowers, but I don't see any welded ones.

Where did he order them from I had trouble even finding a vendor for them. I still may want them for my front, but I gotta be able to find people to tune and rebuild them which so far seems few and far between.

DSM won't tune them? Plus you can do that yourself and should anyways.

DSM, Headstrong and of course MCM deals with them. I think you can just contact them directly too but you have to do the purchase through a dealer. But can easily talk to Brian at ADS too for custom stuff.

I've never dealt with DSM, they're not particularly close to me. The local ADS vendor deals mostly with the prebuilt UTV line of shocks. When I get dedicated shop space I might consider buying a Nitrogen setup and valving my own stuff, until then I'm measuring, weighing, sending pictures, and evaluating. I dealt with a vendor/tuner whose knowledge impressed me and I'll happily review after I get my shocks and test them.

Knowledge of what shim order and thickness will do to ride quality and then disassembling the shock and altering the shim stacks on the compression and rebound sides.

    eh..sorta..not really.

All the clicker does is restrict oil flow into the resi for compression. For most, its fine, but if you really abuse the truck or go LT..its not worth it as it generates more heat.

It is more of a quick way to alter compression stiffness by controlling oil flow to the resi. Not the same range of control

@Blackdawg beat me by a second haha

If you want to tune on the fly, bypasses are for that. however, they are more for positions of the piston then over all like a valve stack.

You have to set up your stack then tune the bypasses to handle how you want depending on where the piston is in the travel of the shock.

I put a 881 spring in the front, amd have .25 wall sliders with 3 piece skids. I had slight rubbing before adding my 4 crawler 1 in. The origial plan was 883 and 63 chevys and the 1" in 4 crawler. It works out well and rides great.

Since i am ritualistic on skinnys I grabbed early 1st gen steelys from spare tires. They are a 16x7 oem. I have bead lock rings to put on but dont think i will need them. When the 883s go in I should be fine with clearing Iroc 34x9x16. They are only made for a 7" wide wheel.
