So I've been experimenting a little in the sand with my stock 2017 TRD SPORT 4x4. I don't Off-Road that much but I want to get bigger tires (33") and a lift (2-3"). I know the wider the better with sand but I'm concerned about rubbing. Anyone have any thoughts? Or even better experience and build pictures?

    285 75 17 is a 34" tire. Yes, it will rub even with a 3in lift

That's for a 16" tire, not the 17" you put in your title.

Might want to adjust the title to reflect the correct info.

Sorry to hi-jack thread real quick. I have a 2" lift, would these tires fit? The shop is willing to chop a bit if need be, but don't want to if I can avoid it.

I got 16" by the way

Yes, you will rub the cab mount and possibly some plastic. No big deal, get a cab mount chop done, trim the plastic and ride on.

@CKTRD17 this place has gotten me lost multiple times. I start looking for one thing and get distracted buy a build page and start looking at everything except what I started out looking for (grilles, running boards, lights, custom mods, etc) . I started this thread after doing that 3 days in a row. Thanks for the constructive input.

Even when turned and the suspension compresses while off-roading?

I agree. Reading is the key. Even within TW you can find everything or almost everything about your question which however won't guarantee some stuff cause you have to remember that all trucks are different especially moded. But you will have knowledge and understanding of a lot of things. I was reading and searching for a couple of months before I decided on my lift. Same with tires and rims.
    Good luck.

Got distracted? For real? Couldn’t type in your keywords and start reading?

Sorry man. That excuse doesn’t hold much water.
