Boogie3478 also known as TacomaHolic really helped me change the way my truck looks by watching his youtube vids, I changed my side emblems to matte black, and put black inlays on the tailgate, then installed a new TRD Pro Grille. I made a big jump for my first set of mods but my truck definitely looks better and i feel good about doing the work myself, here is a pic i took at work on the jobsite. IMG_0031.jpg

Nice looking truck, I like the Black Door Emblems, been thinking those would look good on my Truck too.

Not a fan of those steps from the dealer... how come all the dealers install them?

Cool, I'm picking up an 18 next week. Would love the pro grille. Can/did you disable the TSS?

I just left my old TSS on my old grille and just unplugged it, so now i have a hanging cord behind this grille, but the new TSS i get should work just fine. So temporarily my truck says return to dealer collision safety malfunction or something to that nature

Is it the Garnish piece that you need to fit in front of the Sensor On the Grille, those seem to be in high demand.

no just the sensor itself, the 2018 grilles cover the sensor already

Looks good, will probably the first mods I do as well.

As far as the sensor goes for adaptive cruise control is there a good write up or thread somewhere that covers switching grills? I tried searching the other day and didn't come up with anything. I'd like to switch the grill and keep all functionality.

You can definitely switch the grille and keep all functionality, the 2017 and 2018 are different tho as the 2018 grille gets installed behind the grille as to where my stock one was installed behind the front emblem and is shaped different. So if you can find one on ebay that comes with the TSS i would recommend that so you don't have to shop around like me now, but the cost atleast $350, i paid $240 for mine.

Why are you changing out the Sensor, it should just bolt right onto the Pro Grille and then you just need the Garnish piece?

Yeah good idea, there are several threads on here where the guys just reused the stock sensor. I do think a few guys used an extended wiring harness or something for a little more movement.

That is awesome that it will fit. By the way TSS stands for Toyota Safety Sense, if I am not mistaken that piece is just called a Sensor to help avoid any confusion.
