Hey guys, I'm new here (although I've been lurking a lot the past few days while researching) and was wanting to ask a question because I cannot find a reliable answer anywhere online or through various threads on here.

So I am looking to get some new rims and tires for my 2011 TRD Sport. Whoever owned the truck before me put on some 270/65r17's on with the stock wheels with no lift kit or leveling kit, which is fine but I'm looking to upgrade to a more aggressive looking tire/wheel combo that fills up the wheel well but also one that doesn't stick out too far past the fender.

After messing around with the tools on TireSize.com, I am probably going to put on the 2 inch Rough Country leveling kit and upgrade to 275/70r17 tires (probably ko2's since those are one of the few that come in 275/70r17). I feel as if that size is the best to achieve the look I want without trimming or rubbing. 285's would fill it up as well but would probably force me to trim plus they'll stick out past the fender a bit more than the 275's.

The wheels I have feel in love with are the Black Rhino Glamis in 17x9 with a +12 offset. I've seen some pictures of Tacoma's with these rims but none of those pictures posted the exact tire specs with them.

The issue I am running into is pretty much every tire smaller than a 285 recommends using a 7-8.5 inch wide wheel but the Glamis is 9 inch wide. Would the tires be able to stretch out the extra half inch to fit onto the 9 inch Glamis wheel or am I going to have to compromise and get a different wheel or tire size? Thanks in advance!

I went with a Sendel 17x9 rim that replaced the TRD sport stock rim, I’m still using the stock tires of 265/65R17.

Dont really like the look with the tire size 265/65R17 would like a wider tire, the 275/65/17 will work but there aren’t too many choices in this size narrowing it down to a Cooper or BF KO2
