TSB was done, didn't really fix anything.
Same jerkwad "test drive" comments. No dude I didn't notice until I drove the thing in a prolonged, typical circumstances. I didn't even consider at that time that a new Toyota pickup would need an extended test drive. I wasn't buying some piece of shit used Dodge. And the test drive is irrelevant. If I didn't get this truck someone else would have. And what, that guy deserves to be effed?

Get your head out of Toyota's ass.

Test drives are not irrelevant unless you make them that way by ta king one 20 min spin in one truck on a sunny day. Test driving a truck doesn't commit you to buying then and there. Should have taken a bunch in trucks, both brand new and maybe even some used ones side by side.

If there was anything that caught your attention of being out of the norm you can look for it in different trucks and decide for yourself if it's a characteristic of one truck or all.

We nor Toyota didn't decide for you to buy a truck you don't like, you did that to yourself so deal with it or resolve it.

Again...me not taking a long enough test drive does not alleviate responsibility from Toyota for a poor design. If you cannot accept that then there is no starting point to this conversation.

Dude, we get it - you aren't happy with your truck. That has nothing to do with this thread.

Some guys obviously don't. I'm being dragged back into this thread by dumb as fuck comments and you're looking at me to drop it? Who cares dude. You can just scroll past my posts if it's giving you such trauma.

 hi. why the need to try to pick fights and insult people in every single thread you post in? its fine to have a difference of opinion but if you can't discuss a topic like an adult perhaps the internets isn't for you.

This is crazy. I literally made one off-the-cuff comment about the transmission issues related to Toyota's perceived quality and the Toyota diehards got triggered and couldn't let it go. But the moderation is only targeted at me.

I guess tenured members get to dick around with newers guys and if you respond you're treated like you're the instigator. Do what you guys need to do.

The biggest problem with the transmission is it's smarter than many owners

We have and at this point it’s becoming annoying. I have better things to do on my Sunday than babysit a thread with a bunch of antagonistic posts.

I’d say you’ve been given ample opportunities. I’ve been on this site a very long time, I made a comment to a new member and got a 3 day vacation a few weeks ago. Your post about tenure is irrelevant.

No transmission issues that I see, low transmission fluid here and there. I haven't heard of any transmission being replaced. So it shifts back and forth as it is designed to do for best fuel economy, take it out of overdrive problem solved. Guess most of the people complaining about transmission searching for the correct gear never drove a manual transmission.
