I will be looking at Tacomas in about a month in the LA county area (or nearby) and was wondering if any of y'all have recommendations on dealers, good/bad experiences, etc. Already done quite a bit of research online and have gotten internet quotes from a few so the list is getting narrowed down. Thanks.

One guys recommended dealership might be another's worst dealership ever!

Your best bet is to continue getting quotes and pit them against each other till you find the one that will provide the best price. It will help if your ready to buy now and not in about a month.

    1) Read through this very carefully for some good shopping tips.

    2) Sales staff are (or should be) professional. Keep it business. Don't let them wile you into thinking your deal is so good their kids will starve this week.

    3) It's a shell and pea game. Remove two of the shells and you'll do better.

    4) Don't ask them if it's legal to drive an OR on the street or if driving it off road voids the warranty; the price will double. :D

I just bought a 2017 TRD Sport from Carson Toyota and was able to get about $4,500 off retail since the 2018's were already out. What I've noticed from most dealers is that you have a much better chance at scoring a deal by speaking with their fleet department. When I bought my wife's Camry we were able to get $3,500 off retail plus another $3,000 factory rebate. I actually asked another rep from that dealership if they could match the price and they said that they couldn't, I didn't tell them that that price was actually quoted from the fleet department at the same dealership.

Don't buy in LA. Go somewhere else for the deals.

I got my Pro from Longo. I have an acquaintance that works internet sales there and was able to get the best price for the exact Pro I wanted.

Nor Cal actually has better prices but you would have to take a road trip or have it delivered.

I tried longo but all they had was DCLB 4X4 or 2WD DCSB. I was looking for a DCSB 4x4.

    This was last year though.
