    hey all

Well, after 80k (!!!!) miles, my wrangler duratracs are starting to exhibit some pretty good cupping and feathering... and even though I’ve still got decent tread left- they are getting really noisy. I’m blown away that they lasted this long, installed them 2.5 years ago at 29k miles and I’m sitting at 108 and change. Anyhow- my question:

This whole time I’ve run my stock 16” O.R. wheels with 1” spacers. I really love the flush look this gives me- but I don’t love running spacers. So- I know the stock wheels are ET30. I’m shopping wheels and tires this time around and want something that’ll sit flush without spacers. Am I doing the math right to think if I stay with a 7” wheel I’d be looking at a wheel that’s ET5?? Or if I go up to an 8” wheel maybe an ET15?

I’ve read so much about it that my head is spinning. And I would hate to get my new wheels and end up with the bro-poke...

    Thanks!
    Kyle

Your stock OR wheel has a +30mm offset, the 1" spacer pushed the wheel out roughly 25mm, giving the wheel a +5mm offset. Most aftermarket wheels I've seen for our trucks are a 0mm offset, or a negative offset, meaning they might stick out. Depending on how wide of a tire you go for, a 0mm offset is your best bet.

Like said above 0 mm offset on a 8” wheel will be flush with the fender.

Gonna go with the same size I had (265-75 16) since I drive a shit ton (108k in 3 years). Looks good with my toytec lift, mileage is alright.
