Hey everyone I purchased method con 6

    17" / 0 offset with 4.75 backspacing

    Bfg ko2 275/70/17

    Bilstein 5100 x 4

    888 coils

Dakar heavy duty full leaf packs.

    Heres my story.

I took my truck to a local shop i purchased it all through for install.

After initial install i noticed all of my rims had damge to them and my truck drove like crap.

My aftermarket tire pressure sensors i paid extra for were not working either.

I did a ton of trimming and heating and molding so the tires cleared.

I had a (cmc) cab mount chop done. They only did the driver side as that was all that needed to be done.

Had all 4 damaged rims replaced by the 1st shop. I asked for another alignment and offered to pay out of pocket. It wasnt done. I was told "its fine". Just a lifted toyota. To make a long story a bit shorter I have made 5 trips back to shop 1 now after initial install. My sensors finally work. My new dakar huty duty leafs were squeaking like a 100 year old door hinge. Its actually pretty embarrassing and aggravating to say the least. I was told dakar had send them some fix kits and they could install that to fix any squeak.

So 1 hours labour later and i think they basically spread them and applied grease, they squeak just the same after if not worse. I contacted Dakar and they replied " what fix kit?we dont have such a thing". They want the shops info.

So all this... Bought new rims and suspension and had it installed and this is what i am left with...

So I take it to shop #2 to get an alignment.

Tells me one of the adjustment bolts on my truck was loose.

Cant get it aligned within spec.

    I need U. C. A. 's

I purchase SPC U. C. A' s and have them installed and an alignment.

    So now it is aligned.

Now my tire rubs hard on the backside of wheelwell on the passenger side. It never rubbed on the passenger side prior to uca's.

He also tell me one of my tires cannot be 100% balanced. Get it warrantied through shop #1.

So now I am to go back to shop#2 to get a cab mount chop done.

Redo the driver side initially done by shop 1 and do the passenger side now rubbing. Shop 2 was puzzled why shop 1 would only do one side.

So I still have leaf springs that squeak so bad I really cant handle it.
I also noticed damage to 1 of the new replacement rims.

Just looking for any decent insight. Im Pretty fed up atm. Feeling defeated and definitely not enjoying driving my truck.

Sounds like a real Clusterfuck, you need to find a better shop more experienced with Trucks.

Sounds like shop #1 is a shit show. shop #2 sounds better but not great. try asking for a shop recommendation in your regional forum or possible a couple local guys can help you out for beer and pizza.

    It's not the truck.

    It's not the parts.

    It's the installers.

If you don't get a sympathetic ear from a manager, you probably should start looking for shop #3. And do a lot of research on their work quality before opening your wallet.

Dam that sucks man. Reason why I go to my local offroading shop. I was lucky Kryptonite Kustoms was 3 mins away from me (they build offroading vehicles from ground up like crawlers and would sometimes take on Trucks and Jeep). Heck I even hate going to 4 wheel parts since they try to rip you off on the parts pricing if you didn't know what you wanted when you got there. I paid $15 more on each wheel than they were worth that I bought thru them cause they were the only one that can get it within 3 days. Hopefully they install it right...

    Good luck!

Kinda hard to tell on the internet. But................

Very likely still not aligned correctly (not enough castor).

Leaf spring squeak has been a common item on vehicles for 60+ years, although newer models come with some 'preventative' in place from the factory. Although Toyota has been a bit remiss on that.

Anyway, a cracker jack shop would know the tips and tricks needed to cure that. It's pretty much driveway doable and not very not expensive.

    Good luck with your resolutions.
