I’m building an overland truck. I have an ‘18 LB. I’m going to be installing a bed slide, a rack, and a hard shell tent. I’ll be carrying a bit of weight around all the time and don’t want to sag. I’m not looking for lift, or long travel. I just want to carry the extra weight and have it ride like it should. I will be installing Kings on all four corners at stock height, so I’m wondering who makes a good leaf that rides nice but it designed for the over landing crowd, those of us that drive heavy day to day? OME? Deaver?

Deaver single leaf. I tow a trailer and offroad, but it does add 1.25” height.

Is that 1.25 while unloaded or loaded?

That will give him 1.5 lift w/o overload and 2" with. He wants no lift, or very little.

Check out my build thread (Beginning of Money Pit)
Call Deaver and put in an order for a custom leaf pack. They do those. tell them what you need.

Wouldn't his best choice be airbag helpers? No lift, adjustable based on weight, relatively easy install.

Nope, will never do airbags again. Had bags, and in the desert where I live they will dry rot in a few years just like old tires. I think Deavers are the way I’m leaning based on all the forum searching I’ve done. Thanks for the feedback.

    yep..
Have a spring shop near you? They can arch you a leaf with less arch than an AAL, giving you a stiffer pack but minimal height increase.

I removed the overload & after less than a year of normal driving, light hauling it's about 3/4" high in the rear - no biggie.

Being LB and a third gen you are going to get less lift than advertised. You could bump up the preload a scosche on your front Kings to give you that factory rake.

No airbags. I want a real suspension not a band aid.

Looking at Icon as well. The Stage 10 setup with my weight will be just over an inch higher in the rear than stock and designed to carry the weight of what I plan to carry.

I get that I live in the North East so dry rot isn't an issue I think about. Best of luck with the suspension and let us know what you end up with.

A Wheeler’s 3 leaf progressive with the overload in gave me about .5-1” lift with a loaded truck, RTT, bed rack, etc.
