I'll be really interested to see the MSRP for the Ranger lineup. Knowing Ford they're going to err on the side of overpricing though.

I read an article that was measuring the discount manufactures give to purchasing customers and frontier was #1. I too thought about buying a 17 frontier. I have been trying to find the article but cant.

I remember all the numbers making sense. Tacoma was like 8-10% frontier was like 12-14

I'm genuinely curious how well the Ranger is going to sell on average (as in after the initial demand cools off). I'm guessing it will probably sell around what the Colorado sells.

I think the moderators could tone it down.

Someone looking at buying a truck has two options right now: Full Size or Mid-size. There are members on this site who switched from full-size to mid-size and from mid-size to full-size.

Someone looking to buy a civic probably isn't going to see a Tundra as a viable substitute. I don't believe consumers see the option of choosing between a Civic and Tundra as being the same as a Tacoma and Tundra.

Nah, I drove the truck around the pasture for shitzngiggles. It could have been a three legged polecat, but I’d still have dogged the shit out of it. Now, my great uncle might have felt otherwise...

That’s the thing... I didn’t want to wait for it and wasn’t sure it would be priced reasonably or end up like a raptor/GT/etc. being the first means growing pains and MSRP+. I’m also not much on fords. I had also looked at Nissan Frontier, but it was just not a comfortable vehicle for me. It also felt cheap. The resale market is also poor, so plenty of depreciation.
