First few were parent funded, then I was fortunate enough to land a great job out of college in software dev. (They didn’t pay for mods)

I seriously doubt that anyone else on TW ever owned a car like my very first one.

    1960 Vauxhall station wagon
    1966 Chevrolet Bel Air
    1974 Pontiac Ventura
    1972 GMC 3/4 ton pickup
    1982 Chevrolet Cavalier station wagon
1985 Chevrolet station wagon (with wood panel decals on the sides)
    1992 Buick Century station wagon
    2005 Volvo V70 station wagon
    2013 Toyota Tacoma Limited

All of them purchased used. And, of course, all of those station wagons are related to kid-in-back-seat years.

My mom had an old Plymouth wagon with the rear facing seat. That thing was a tank and makes today's SUV's look weak! She drove over a concrete parking block once and just put it in reverse and with the rear tires rolling smoke popped back over it and said "don't tell your father". Away we went!

My sister dated a guy with a 300ZX. For what it was that car would run.

Yeah, it was an awesome little car, but it was my first, so it holds a special place in my heart. The engine gave out at 260k if I remember correctly.

Out of some 50+ vehicles I'll only mention the ones that were interesting or semi interesting. The others were all practical appliances.

Several of the following were kept for several years and overlapped ownership with each other or other vehicles. All them were used.

1964 GTO #104. 1st car, bought in '68 from original owner.
    1964 Chevelle
    1964 Impala
    1959 Chevy Apache 3/4 ton
    1967 El Camino
    1964 GTO running/driving parts car
    1986 300ZX-T 5 spd
    1983 280ZX
    1990 300ZX
    1989 Buick Reatta

The only ones that mattered-‘95 Tacoma when I got my license. 4 years old and used. But still. Then an ‘01 (which I still have) and the ‘17 I bought in ‘16. I’ve always had good taste in vehicles.

A few randoms. I had a Subaru Forester for a northeastern winter season, donated that after I got my period driving it.

Never been without a Tacoma, and never NEEDED anything else, never interested in building/fabbing for anything else.
