Who makes the cage/luggage rack that sits on top of your bedrack?

It's a Surco, tho I couldn't find any product numbers on it. IMG_3236.jpg

Pulled my trailer out of storage last night. Ended up being a perfect night. I love how easy it is to setup. By the time my wife had a fire going, I had the living spaces all setup and ready.

I have a build thread of Expedition Portal for the trailer. It's all custom built by my father and I. It's got 30 gallons of water, independent torsion axels, and 35 inch tires. The tent can raise until the base is about 6 feet so the annex can be zipped on.

No major updates right now. I did get my CB mostly installed. I've got a few wires to finish getting cleaned up.

I also got a chance to take my trailer out again this weekend. Pulled like a champ! One day I need to stop on a scale and see how much it actually weighs. This is my first pick-up. I really love having all of my climbing and camping gear in the back while still having the cab free for 4 of us to comfortably ride around.

Thanks everyone! It's been a great build. I really like this truck!

If I can find a good deal, the next thing for me is rock sliders. After some light riding this weekend I realized how much closer to the ground this truck is than my jeep on 35s. May have taken a little paint of the frame. :D

No huge updates this weekend. I did install this in the bed. I can now charge my camera's run a fridge or whatever I need on the back. I ran a fused wire directly from the battery. The frame rails make wiring easy on this truck!

I also pulled a resealed my drivers side headlight this weekend. reinstalling that thing was a serious PITA! While I had the grill off, I used some zip ties and JBWeld to pull the mesh on the grill a little closer to the sides. Basically just some cleanup work.

Oh ya, and I did the Anytime Foglight mod. Now I can run them whenever.

Y'all do anything fun to your rigs this weekend?

Thanks man, Black Betty is a gorgeous truck. I've got to do suspension soon. All these trucks on 285s look so good.
