Bobby is what made me originally buy the CVT I had. Fantastic to work with.

Cool. I'll have to check it out next time I see Andrew. Seems like that is the biggest tent that will fit well on a DCSB with a bed rack

yeah that overlander never takes his tent off. lol

it's a sweet tent for real, was just too much for me to handle by myself. since I'm a shell guy I need it off for daily driving.

I would think there is a larger one you can run on the DCSB that might be closer to the length of the bed, you won't want 3 people in the shasta unless you're all spooning, or really really tiny (smaller than you tiny)

The 3rd person is pretty tiny and it would be rare that a 3rd person is in there.

I am slightly offended by the "smaller than you tiny" statement, thus implying that I am somewhat tiny.

you are smaller than Androlle (who isn't?), and shorter than I am. just trying to give you realistic expectations for the size. I think the width is literally the same as a queen mattress, but it's longer. so if you 3 can fit in a queen bed comfortably, then you'd be fine.

Haha. Just messing with you. I am a shorty and apparently have shrunk a 1/2 inch over the last year.

I have done 3 on a full bed before, but that wasn't fun. I'll size it up on my queen bed at home. Maybe there is one that is more king like that has more width but a little shorter to fit on my truck bed.

    The hunt begins

the Ranier gives you 26" more in the width but is the same dimensions otherwise. so it's 72" vs the 56" of the Shasta. 72" is wider than the length of your bed, though.

The Rainier will work, but i don't like the way it looks. Shasta will probably end up being the way i go.

Pic is a Rainier on a DCSB

yeah it hangs over a bit, would look better on a shell or taller rack.

sounds like you need to go the camper shell route.

The camper shell would probably be nice to have so i could lock stuff up on trips. I just don't like the way camper shells look.
