I had a surgery on the 3rd to see if I'm going to loss my leg. So it has been put off for a few weeks.

He is going to order a new pump and a few buddys are going to throw it in. And if it works, they'll do the wiring again.

Selling my 96 Tacoma to fund the FJ80 build up.
While the pump is out verify + and - signal with engine RPM
    (with fire safety in mind).

Also keep a close eye on any in tank wiring / in tank fuel line / pick up tube ect.

I would also bench test the old pump before buttoning it back up. If the old pump is dead I would open it up and find out WHY...

I prefer to test pumps with my million dollar test light... (For diagnostic work it is worth a million dollars)
I can unplug the relay and run the pump thru the OE harness with the test probe or unplug the harness at the pump and run the pump direct with the test probe. You can also check for relay signal function as well as the relay it's self. It will test + or - and can make the tip feed + or - and has a ground clip.

~ Disclaimer: I have no experience testing a Tacoma fuel pump... But I have been wrenching on and testing nearly every other make and model for over 20 yrs.

    Thanks guys!!!

Well today i dropped the tank and found that the plug that goes into the fuel pump(inside the tank) was not even pluged in all the way., I touched it and it came unpluged. So I'm going to test it to see if I get fuel now.

Oh and I'm keeping my left leg! Now just waiting on the right.

Well we are taking it to the dyno in the morning.

Well I just got all the wires in for the PCU and it starts and runs, but the check engine light is on. I called URD and left a message, but does anyone know if the check engine light should come on?
