    Heres the final install!

Here is how I wired the button, I was concerned about voiding the warranty, so I didn't tie into any lights on the dash. The button lights up when the led is turned on and is not lit normally (not a big deal to me)

I have been reading this thread with interest, but have a few questions. I'm one of those "leave no mark" folks who like to direct add, remove/replace, make harnesses, etc. so that anything can reversed. Most of what I have read seems to indicated that any of these kits require trimming/cutting of some sort. Are there any options that "just fit" as bolt on without physical modifications?

The install I did, didn't require any trimming. I even left the air dams in, even though the brackets do push against them. I am the same way I didn't want to install the light bar in a way that couldn't be reverted back to stock. This was more difficult however, as the air dams allow very little room to tighten everything onto the brackets.

What brackets did you use? Also, was that harness pretty much plug and play?

yeah, the wire harness was easy to install. the hardest part was getting the light bar to fit. There isn't a lot of spare room to work with.

The brackets are easier to get the light bar on, since they have a slot which most other designs don't have. And they are 30$ about half the price of most other brands of brackets.

I also bought a 35$ LED bar, and to be honest it seems to be pretty good quality to me and is more than bright enough for what I will be using it for.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DNYCJQW/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

and here is the link to the switch I used for anyone who wants it
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M3VX73R/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

So the whole install was just over 100$, which is about a 3rd of what I see a lot of other people paying. Though I can't speak to the quality of their setups, this setup seems pretty rugged, is very bright and looks super clean in the end.

Thank you for the info and details of your install. I appreciate the feedback before I made stupid mistakes.

Just keep an eye out for any seal leakages, so it doesn't get away on you. The seals have been known to fail on those.

already keeping an eye on it. Purposely soaked it with the hose to make sure it was waterproof like they claimed. staying dry inside so far! not bad for the price!

Not too concerned, it came with a 2 year warranty and is garaunteed IP67 waterproof

And I wasn’t trying to be a negative Nancy, was just giving you a heads up to watch for it , after doing the massive research that I had done before buying my lightbar, I do remember that was one of the main complaints from those lights.

Did you connect the wires with just electrical tape or did you solder them together?

I stripped both wires back about an inch or so and twisted them into each other and then used electrical taped to protect them for shorting out or coming disconnected
