Hey all - I know there are tons of threads about various noises (rear differential, wind noise, etc). I have a subtle noise that doesn't really bother me all that much, but if it's something covered by one of the various TSBs, I figured I should just get it fixed. Local dealer is generally pretty good about fixing TSBs without much debate. Problem is, I don't know exactly what it is. Hope someone here can help me narrow it down.

The best I can describe it is a very low/deep noise most similar to blowing on the top of a glass cocacola bottle. I've never heard the infamous rear differential howl, and perhaps this is it, but to me, it sure sounds like its coming from the front passenger side, not the rear end.

I seem to notice while cruising/feathering around 30-45 mph.

Any ideas? And, sorry in advance for another noise thread. I appreciate any help.

Hmmm..Maybe that is it. I'll turn off my heat/AC next time I'm in the car and see if that does it. Thank you for the idea!

Funny, this is exactly how I described this noise to a friend who also has a 2017 Tacoma. He hears it too on his truck. If you figure out what is causing that and the fix for it...do report back.

In a heavy crosswind the rubber flap between my cab and bed will sound off like that. It seem to do it more often after I put a toolbox on mine

Have you tried the AC thing featured in the link above? I'm inside now and can't test!

I'm pretty sure I've heard this noise when I've had the AC off. It happens in certain wind/cross wind situations. I'm pretty sure there is a hole or gap some where that the wind catches on and makes this noise. That's my hypothesis.

    Well shit lol.

I'm sure somebody on this forum will link us to a solution for this noise.
