Just moved up here from San Diego. Im gonna be doing a lot of work on my suspension soon and was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of a good shop for alignments. Also some good welding shops for cmc and such. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

    What's up, man!

A great shop for CNC work, welding, any kind of truck related accessories / lifts / etc is Humboldt Motosports on Broadway. Top notch crew. I don't have any affiliation with them, but I've had them do some minor suspension work on my Taco, a full lift and bumpers on my 4Runner, and they blacked out my roof rack on another 4Runner; and they do good work. They have a full shop so I'd be surprised if there was anything they couldn't do.

I just use Firestone for alignments because they are the only local shop to offer lifetime alignments, once you start playing with your suspension it's nice to be able to get it aligned (basically) for free. For alignments I personally would avoid Eureka Brake and Gosselin Tire, both places have aligned stuff for me in the past (pre-Firestone) and they did a sub-par job.

There's a few other shops in the area for off road stuff - Rocky's Off Road in Old Town and some place behind the Renner Station on W Del Norte Street - they don't have a sign but I think their name is Humboldt Powersports (?). I've never spent money at either place, Rocky's I went to when we first moved here and the guy was nice enough but had no follow through (never called me back), and HP I've heard is decent. There's also a truck cap / bumper/ accessories dealer on 14th at Koster, they don't do any lifts or suspension stuff but they do all the other bolt on accessories and are a Warn / ARB dealer. Can't think of the name right now. I've bought a few bits and bolts from them, seems like a nice shop.

Look me up if you want to do some light off road type stuff around here. I have a thread going on the 4runners forum for Humboldt County but there are like 2 guys that live here so it's basically just me posting pictures of shit I do:

Awesome! Thank you so much for replying! I was starting to wonder if anyone would haha

Definitely going to be checking out Humboldt motorsports when the time comes for a cab mount chop. My only question with firestone is will they do the alignment to the specs you want? If so that serms like a no brainer.

Definitely want to do some wheeling but i gotta get my suspension all worked out. Basically replacing everything so its gonna take a couple pay checks haha

They should... as long as they can within the parameters of your setup / UCAs / etc.

If you go to Humboldt Motorsports talk to Nate, that guy has his shit together.
