Lol I'll keep my first gen over getting a new one. Last of the real Toyota mini trucks. Besides, third gens are too expensive for what they offer to me.

I've got a ton of respect for the 1st gens. I honestly think they look great. Unfortunately I needed a reliable/rust-free daily driver and I live in the rust belt.

Hahaha! Honestly I think this whole 1st, 2nd, 3rd gen rivalry is pretty F’in hilarious! I own a 3rd gen and totally love it! I also love 1st gens. Probably most of all of the Tacoma’s. Second generation as well but less so. For whatever reason I’m not sure? Probaly just astedics based but still think they are awesome trucks. That, in all honesty have a better engine/tranny combo that I wish I had in my 3rd gen. The 1st gens are the trucks my friends had in high school and my brief stint in college that I remember riding around in on trails and camping (smoking weed/looking for babes) and just getting awesome in. As a result, they have a special place in my heart I guess. I had a white with grey interior ‘93 Grand Cherokee Laredo 5.2 (first year grand! sorry I know Jeep talk is taboo around here) which I loved as it was a hand me down from my dad. unfortunately I rolled it. Then I had a stock ‘02 Grand 4.0 which pretty much totally blew but got me around from here to there reliably for the most part and got me out to some descent off road spots. I had that tired ‘02 for a few years over a decade. Then one day all of the sudden, I was driving down to Denver on I-70 and saw a quicksand Tacoma next to me with aftermarket bumpers a lift and tires. It immediately harkened me back to my old mentor Craig’s dads 70’s fj that was of a similar color and also reminded me of all the good times i had riding shotgun in my college buddies Tacoma’s and I knew I had to have a Tacoma! 1st,2nd,3rd gen I think the love for taco’s is still there no matter what. I understand the annoyance of the complete idiot questions that come from my segment of the forum population however. I put my head in my hand frequently. I can only imagine this is more frustrating if you’ve been around here along time, let alone since the beginning.

Anyways not sure why I felt it necessary to tell that story but I did. Probably the whiskey.

It was probably the whiskey and all the Ridgeline talk that took you to your feminine side and made you share all those things . Now reach down and grab a pair and get yourself together you drive a Tacoma man.

At the end of the day 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Gen Tacomas are ALL Tacomas and this IS Tacoma World... no reason for their to be animosity between the three generations. Everyone is proud of what they’ve poured their hard-earned money into and should be, but ALL three generations deserve to be represented here and are. Not sure why the animosity exists anyway between anyone who decided to purchase whatever.

Not twisted at all . Just a volley of friendly fire that's all.
I am just happy that the Ridgeline is gone.

God, I LOVE this forum! We can have more fun with silly stuff then the law allows, and STILL share lots of good tech help, and more! Not to mention saving money on cool stuff with a bit of judicious shopping...
