No, my flies haven’t been nice enough for people to want to buy them. But these last few weeks, all of my flies have been coming out damn near perfect.

The same shit everyone else has.
I go through periods like this all the times. Sometimes, I tie like crap for a few weeks, then all the sudden I can start cranking out really nice ties, then I go back to tying crap.

I remember when I first started tying, all my flies didn’t look that good. Then I went out with them and caught fish. Sometimes I think the flies do better when they aren’t perfect.

I agree......when I was first learning, mine were not perfect and I could tie 10 in an hour - my buddy/teacher was a perfectionist, often undoing hackle and redoing it several times for perfection. He did maybe 3 per hour. We both caught fish equally. Mine never were perfect and at times I made up my own patterns - which also caught fish!

I don't tie perfect flies, as long as i can fool the fish its good enuf for me. i lose a bunch everytime i go out why waste the time making it look perfect.

Ugly flies catch fish for sure. Most of mine are ugly

Im talking more about being able to get into a rhythm and crank out a buncha consistent flies without any disruptions
