Watch Thread/Forum, get more email updates

I'd love to be able to watch a thread and get all posts to the thread as email notifications (not just the "first missed post"). That would allow me to follow a topic in my mail app and just use down arrow to move from post to post.

Extra bonus points to get that for a forum. I thought the RSS feed for a forum might give me that, but it looks like it doesn't.

 

Yes, I know this is an old post, but I've got a related problem...

I'd like to subscribe to the 3rd Gen. Marketplace, but it's an active forum and I was getting many emails per day, filling up my inbox.

Could we get a daily digest feature that sums up the day's activity in a single email? Other sites do have this feature.
