Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
Anyone have the TRD aluminum skid plate AND a quick-change drain valve (Fumoto or E-Z-Drain) on the 3rd Gen. V6?

Don't have the plate yet, but I'm guessing the round hole provided for the drain plug is too small to operate the lever on the valve (well, without creating a mess that is).

Has anyone gotten out the saw and opened up this hole?

Well, huh. No 3rd Gen owners have ever used a quick-change oil drain valve with the TRD skid plate? Really?

I've never read anyone doing it with the skid. It's a pretty beefy plate so I'm not sure how easy it is to saw.

I get to be the first! Yay!

    Where there's a will...

I don't even know if it's necessary, which is why I was asking.

I'd just drop the plate to change oil if it doesn't work. That way you keep resale value.

I suppose it's not a lot of trouble to loosen 4 bolts, but it does make "quick and clean"* oil changes a little less quick.

    * - I would get the drain valve with the hose barb on the end

It's a little off center, but no big deal.
