Don't know if this is the right place to post but I got a question:
The owners manual shows the jacking points for the truck, but is there anything wrong with using a wood block on a floor jack and lifting the rear at the diff pumpkin? I've did this on all my trucks and cars for years with no problems. Anybody know if this is bad?

Not "bad", but less safe since the parking brake is at the rear wheels. If you lift both rear wheels of the ground, there it a chance of it moving if you are on an incline. Other than that, have at it.

in the service manual it says you can lift from the pumpkin.
and there's a spot in the front you can lift from too.

i can't find it mabe someone else can but for what its worth I've lifted off the rear pumpkin plenty of times with my 3ton floor jack.

Just make sure its goodand wont slide
