See, that table is way too small. I just bring one of those fold up tables. doesn't take much room in my bed either.

I still think the dual swingout is sexy tho

It can't be difficult to double the surface area of that table with a simple hinge that folds out.

Nice how you have a manual axle tube. Did you swap an ADD tube or did you buy it like that?

Anyone know when Toyota stopped using the W59 and switched to the R150 series? Was the W59 both used in 5-lug 2WD's and 6-lug 4WD's with the transfer case mated to it?

any 4 banger has the w59 through 2004 for sure. r150 stopped in 2004 for sure and was with V6 tacomas.

w59 was used in 2wd and 4wd as was the r150(prerunner/srunner)

So w59 was only in the 4 cyl and the R150 was in the 6 cyl?

Had a pretty interesting little drive on the mountain today.

But that’s a story for another thread, here’s a picture though.

Unless we're talking cars, cause plenty of 2jzs had W series behind them

Ah. And I'm guessing the difference between the R150 and the R150F is the longer output shaft for the transfer case just like the A340E and F.

If there was only one W59 and not a special W59 succeeded by some kind of suffix like F, how did it accommodate both 2WD and 4WD?

Nah there are different tail housing for W59 too, same E and F designations but they're so easy to swap on a manual why bother saying it haha

    sorta.

Anything with a 7mge/1jzge/2jzge came with the W58.

anything with a 7mgte/1jzgte/2jzgte(sorta not really the 2jzgte as a 6 speed was introduced) got the r154.

Biggest difference was the turbo. 2jzge on had 200hp though.

I'm just putting some info about transmissions into my 4WD swap writeup and the tailhousings is where it gets confusing.

Guessing A43D is only for column shift 5-lugs?

Yeah and only really early ones, basically not even worth mentioning.
