Why do the mods do nothing until the thread has reached 30 pages of nonsense

I've seen them police certain "too offensive" posts but yet they let the dumb thread keep going. I don't get it

I don't know but it is funny. It seems as though the ban hammer is starting to slow down for those threads but a newb in the 1st or 2nd gen threads asks a lift Q and the ban hammer is quick to swing. I get it there are some jerks that are just rude but still when threads like this appear it doesn't add to productive conversation.

If I'm reading it right the mods were the ones agitating the 3rd genners.

you should see the ban hammer in the firearms section. It's 1mm away from banhammering at all times.

That's bc someone threatened to not log in for a week bc the banner either had that 1st gen sale ad or all 2nd gens and no 3rd gen love.

I try and stay away from the firearms stuff first of all because I hate the keyboard commandos secondly gov't! Lastly too much political stuff and I am just sick of trying to defend or explain my political beliefs to people that don't truly want to have a conversation or reach a common ground.

eh, it's all gun enthusiasts over there.. so not much to argue. But people still tiptoe around anyways. A mod is always looking at that section with a microscope. Even if you are preaching to the choir, so to speak.

Even still I am a very niche gun owner. To give perspective I am very much a constitutionalist. So even within the gun owner realm I am usually considered extreme. So I tend to stay away.

I also shoot competitively and have been to some armorers schooling so when I read some of the wrong information it really gets to me so to just not have that situation I stay clear.

Nothing wrong with that. Though it does get to a point when certain like-minded folks need to focus on the task at hand and not get too hung up on fragmenting a group with the same goals. There's an enemy across the way, no sense fist fighting with someone in your platoon... that sorta thing.

I agree there needs to be focus on getting over these hurdles and I do that by contacting and talking with my reps. I just let my views for the most part stay silent unless someone wants to have a civil discussion and discourse.

I don't want to get to political about this but there are major issues I see within our current 2 parties and the current Powers within office and I see this going down hill very fast.

Can't do LBL and AOP. I want to do LBL one day maybe next yr.

I tiptoe to a certain extent because NSA, you can call or think of me as a tin foil hat club if you want. But I take it to heart what old Benjamin said about safety and liberty.

I wish I could but it's almost a 7hr ride for me. I want to get out and do some other exploring and not just at the off road parks. Like the KY trek looks cool, the Ga deal, vermont, etc.

I never got that working at the dealership people would buy a crew cab and then bring it back complaining of ride etc. they came out of cars. We just took it and had to gently explain to them to suck it up buttercup. All these complaints in the 2nd and 3rd gen about some stuff it's because these guys just don't understand the auto industry it's funny their ignorance to a certain point then it's just sad. I guess it's just the culture these days.
