OK TW, unlike many of you, I just cracked my first Tacoma windshield. I’m no newbie to cracked glass, but have been lucky so far with my latest Taco. My luck has now ran out thanks to a phantom rock. I’ve had mixed results over the years with companies like Safelite but would like to know what brand glass some of you have had good luck with on our 3rd gen Tacos. I’ve heard many comments that the OEM glass on the 3rd gens seemed “thin” but I have no idea. Should I get OEM or is there a better aftermarket brand out there that works well with our Tacos? Thanks in advance.

My neighbor works for a glass distribution place I've asked in the past the same question to him. He responded "the so call OEM glass doesn't exist it's all produce from the same manufactures, the so call OEM glass just happens to come from a manufacture who won the bid to and been granted permission to put a stamp on a corner of the glass"
He followed to give a couple examples: pick n pull receives the same glass the dealership does. Body shops receives the same glass dealerships do. Car manufacture receives the same glass a mom & pop's shop does.

He happens to be head honcho for the largest glass distribution company so this is coming from a creditable source.
