    Good info to know... I wasn't planning on doing on-board hot water, but won't rule it out.

    I started with a propane instant heater but didn't use it (it worked awesome). Then did the solar tube on top while on the road. They make 12v heaters that look like water heater elements.

    Full size propane tank lasted the whole trip using it multiple times a day for cooking. That was nice.
