My Tacoma works great. No weird transmission thing, no weird engine noises. The stereo sounds just fine to me. No real gripes or complaints and I don't care it has disc brakes in the back, if something works don't change it. I know what your all thinking, cool story bro. I am just starting a new thread (which will probably never take off) about how my Tacomas working just fine.

Let's here from everyone else about their Tacoma working just fine since a lot of the threads are just about problems (which makes sense people want to figure out the problem).

On the odotemer I have 1842 miles, went offroading about 5 times so far and went beach driving 3 times. So around 200 of those miles are not on pavement.

Yep. No problem with mine. The transmission works fine. The engine has plenty of power. No rear end noises. I can't find anything wrong with it. I brought it in for my first Toyota Care checkup and there was nothing for them to do to it. Maybe it was made on a Wednesday!

Its getting bad, Im almost broke.
From my experience, most women can drive a car with 4 flat tires and never realize it until someone says something.

You have drum brakes in the back, discs in the front.

No problems at all with my 18 limited. Everything works fine. Only thing I changed was the OEM trifold toneau for a bak mx4. More useful bed, no leaks and better looking.

for a while I stopped browsing tacoma world. It was depressing.
like 75% of the threads were people having problems

    diff leaks
    transmission howls
    shifting problems

There wasnt enough cool stuff, people doing fun things, enjoying the vehicle threads.

+ 1 Here! No issues of any kinds. Very very happy with my truck. I do have the 6MT which I know helps. This truck just ticked over 11k.

I love my '13 2nd gen but I wouldn't have a problem with buying any of the third gens. (gotta wait a few more yrs financially to make that move:)). Thanks for the positive thread! :fistbump:

I have a 2016 Off Road with a little less than 20000 miles and so far I have had zero issues. While I understand some people's complaints about the engine transmission combination, to me it seems to be the best of both worlds and just took a little getting used to. I'm also glad OP started the thread. I understand if someone is truly having an issue to voice their concern but to trash the Tacoma just because it doesn't suit someone's taste isn't helping.

I love my truck every time I get in it. It has a couple issues I'm not thrilled about but nothing that would keep me from buying it again.

I didn't have any problems with mine until I got on TW and found out how many problems I really had.:)
A previous poster made the women comment but I know plenty of men like that also.
It does get kind of ugly on here hearing about all the issues, but most people are on the internet looking for an answer to a problem they have and TW is a great resource for that so that's what you read about.

This is where I'm at! Just got a 2018 DCSB 4X4 OR and I love the truck, but when looking at TW mainly for mod ideas I seem to get caught with the "issues" and its easy to get depressed:(

My 09 DC with 6MT had 110k miles on it when I traded for the 17 Access with 6pd Auto and no problems with either

My truck is the best machine I have owned yet. Only have 2k on it but the truck is solid. I have the double cab with long bed and the truck rolls so smooth on the freeway. 2018 TRD Sport.

Ah, a little bit of positivity in an otherwise soul-crushing world :cheers:

I've been in love with my '08 Taco since I bought it two years ago. I'll admit, though, that all your 3rd gens look gorgeous and I seriously wish I had the cash to get a Blazing Blue TRD Sport...

29,578 miles, last week it turned 1 year old.
Bed was misaligned when I bought it, easily taken care of for free on first service.
And one flat fixed for free by my friend that owns the tire store.
Windshield seems to be easy to pit, no cracks though.
    JBL kicks ass love it!!
I would say no major problems.
