It's my 3rd day of a 12 day stretch of 12+ hrs per day. Was looking forward to making it through the day and costing through the weekend.
NOT!!!!! All hell broke lose and the finely planed schedule went to shit. Of course everyone has their own opinion and decided to take action without knowing how it effects everyone else. Finally told 3 different guys to "Shut up and do as your told!"
I hate that boss, I really hate having to be that boss. But my guys found out that I have no problem doing when it's necessary.

Ok, rant over. The rest of the day is going to be Great! Back to our regularly scheduled program.

I wish to state for the record that I think Congressional employees (the people who work for the elected officials) are functioning retards who need beaten with their own entrails because they have no idea what the fuck they're doing or talking about.

It's just people in general, unfortunately. I was scolded by a dickhead I work with yesterday about my guys working without a contract, and in the discussion, he forwarded me a copy of the contract in question. Three important things to note:

1. We started the project on 1/4/2018.
2. Yesterday was the first time I had seen this particular contract, and only after this same dickhead sent it to me.
3. This contract was signed on 2/14/18.

Now, who exactly should be bitched at for working w/o a contract? Exactly.

Working a high-visibility project with Congressional pressure. Congressman [REDACTED, but needs to lose his job] is putting undue pressure to complete the project in an unsafe and insecure fashion in order to meet the arbitrary deadline of having something to show his constituency before the mid-term election. Because the HDIC has yet to appoint the long-vacant mid-level positions in the VA, we still don't have the executive personnel in place to tell the Dongressman (not a typo) that he's full of shit and needs to back the fuck off and let us engineer this so veteran data, OUR DATA, is not put at risk.

I'm mighty fucking tempted to narc this asshat out, but there's no one around to narc to.

I have a meeting in 40 minutes over this shit, and it's about to hit the fan. Been saving feces all week for this, and just got an industrial 5 blade 10 HP with no guard aimed in his direction.





I wonder how he'd feel if the VFW, VVA, DVA, AMVETS, and CNN caught wind of this shit...
