I'm looking at buying rims and tires off ofcraigslist. The guy has a 2014 Tacoma Trd wheels and almost new tires along with the tpms sensors. Dealer couldn't answer my question whether they could be programmed into my 07. He wasn't sure if there was a frequency change in the newer models. Anyone know. Tia

Whoever you spoke with at the dealer is a chucklehead. Or they just don't do enough of this kind of 'work' to matter/learn from.

They could have taken the time to research it for you with the parts guys.

Recommend finding a quality independent mechanic and don't fret over the dealer looking after your 11 yo truck.

It's funny because the service guy I talked to shouted to a mechanic who said it should work but the guy on the phone wouldn't commit to being sure. His suggestion was to go on a Tacoma forum to get the question answered. I told him I frequent Tacoma world and he thought that was my best place for answer. Who knows maybe they go to this forum for ideas. Just thought it was funny.
