Is this a tech school or a college with dorms?
If there are dorms, spend the money and live there. Leave the truck at home and catch a ride on the weekends.

No its a community college. Closest one. This past year I went to a college beside it and lived in the dorms, couldn't stand it there so I'm transferring out for that reason and because it'll be ALOT cheaper.

If no dorms, I can't see how getting rid of a vehicle that is almost paid off and going into debt on with a different vehicle that gets better gas mileage is going to save money, but then again I have all the info.
