    A couple months ago I installed a complete OME kit on my truck. (It's an 02 xtra cab 4x4). Got the 881 springs and nitros up front along with trim pack on driver side. Rear has new leafs and nitros.

    Here's my problem(s):
    1. Rear of truck got lifted at least 4 inches. I was sorta expecting more than 2 inches all around due to sagging suspension. But only got about an inch out of the front. There's no extra weight either.

    2. Truck has the lovely Taco lean on the driver side even with the rear springs on correct sides. I double checked. And trim pack up front.

    3. I want my truck level. I started to go with the 882 coils but was afraid they'd be too high without extra weight up front. Without the weight in the bed I have nearly 4 inches of rake.

    I contacted the company I purchased from and they just said let it settle and put weight in it. Well it's been at least 2 months with about 250lb in it and it's still much higher in rear. And now the leafs have a lovely loud squeak to them :annoyed:
    Here's a pic of the truck with weight in the bed. You can see the taco lean.

    Any thoughts or suggestions as to why the rear is sitting so so high without weight? Is there some kind of lube I can put on the leafs to help the annoying squeaking?

    2002: 2.5" ome lift springs, 2.5" lift bilstein 5100 front shocks on oe coils and 5100 rear shocks. Topper. 285 75 16 toyo at2s. K&N intake. 2003: super spring progressive aal. Slide master 1000lb bed slide. Custom utility bed with lumber rack. Diamond aluminum 6ft boxes.
    Don't know if you got things figured out but after I put the ome dakars on my 02 quad cab prerunner, I had a pretty high rake in the back. When I hit up toytec, who I bought them from, they said unless you are carrying a 200lb static load, you need to take one of the leafs out. My question to you is was your "taco lean" visible on the rear? I'm wondering if the front top spring leveler will fix it. Also if your dakars were marked with a + sign then that means they are rated higher than the listed lift spec .

    I pretty much gave up trying to figure it out. I did end up getting 882s for the front which helped with the rake and got more lift like I wanted, but now my CVs are screaming. As far as the taco lean I have the 10mm(I think) spacer in the driver side coil, but I can still notice it rather obviously more so from the back looking straight at it.

    The leafs I want to say both had the + sign on them. I have an ARB bumper to put on the front if I don’t sell it in a couple days lol so hopefully that will help the CV angles.

    As far as the back goes, I eventually want to get a camper shell again so that should be enough weight for the rear to help.

    You could also take out the second (upper) overload leaf. That’s what I did on my truck and I’ve got right around 2” lift in the rear with a canopy.

    I don't know what you guys are talking about. Ive got dakars and the AAL with no weight in the bed :eek:

    Bro lean and level is for Cali trucks:D

    I still have the taco lean after the 5mm trim packer on the spring seat of the nitrochargers. Also have 882s up front and an extra 10mm spacer on the top. Dont forget to do the diff drop. It is arguable on whether it helps CV angles or not. Worth the 30 coins imo.

    Oh yeah it’s 5mm on the trim packer I was thinking about the top spacer. I thought about adding that but my CV boots are rubbing constantly now. And I do have the diff drop. I blew a boot within days of switching to the 882s. Can’t say I really saw any difference with the drop kit before and after

    Full disclosure: my truck weighs 1k more than stock. So even with no weight in the bed, by skinny ass plus the ARB/winch sliders,Air compressor, locker, gears, recovery gear in the back seat, lights, hitch receiver all add up.

    I' waiting for my CVs to blow so I can get RCVs!
