Ok, need restaurant recommendations in SF/peninsula/east bay. I tried hard to get a hotel for the night with wifey, but we’re gonna settle for a night on the town and sleeping in our own bed. First time we’ve been out IN FOREVER. We were going to House of Prime Rib (I have a gift certificate ) but no reservations available. Anybody got the lowdown on a good spot? We both wanna try something new...

Understandable. It's been through a lot. Or a lot has been through it.

Some people are really damn stupid though. Saw a parked car in SF earlier today with a purse just sitting on the back seat. SF or not you just don’t do that in any part of the world.

She has chosen. Ruth’s Chris in the city. Kokkari looked good, I tried to push the dry-aged ribeye on her. No dice.

Last time I went to Ruth’s Chris was 15 years ago after my grandma died. My Dad gave me $400 and told me to take some close friends out to dinner. We ate like kings that night. RIP Tutu :amen:

And that's pretty much what California law allows, but you have to believe there is eminent danger. Shooting someone for taking off with your BBQ will more than likely get you a court date.

House of prime rib, some one I knew went there overall, not worth it after all the hype.

The one and only time I went to Ruths with my Uncle Gordon from England, it was great. That was the first time I'd ever seen butter on steak. But Uncle Gordon is gone now, too.

I'm can't wait to go back to Kokkari. Only been twice.

    Indeed.

That sentiment is on repeat here at times.. not sure if it’s laughable or just absurd, but the story never changes. “I’ll kill a guy for breaking into my car,” followed by “so I confronted them but forgot my gun inside,” and “the cops said to let them do their job, I said fuck that! I’ll take matters into my own hands.”

It’s all bullshitting. Nobody forgets their gun when they intend to use it. So, maybe they’re just jacking off about the idea of it, but if it was actually cemented into their resolve then that would not be the case.

Kinda like saying you fucked a chick all night long when you really just talked about why she thinks guys don’t like her.

Last thing I want to do in life is shoot somebody, but that won’t cause hesitation if the situation presented itself. Do you forget your gun when your home alarm goes off in the middle of the night? Or if your neighbor is screaming for help? Not a chance in hell, likely because that is real life, not posting online about “what I would do if it ever happened again.”
