Well I do not have a good woman to hang out with all the time, nor snow to remove :{ Moreover , it is just me here 95% of the time so things stay pretty neat and clean. Nice machine!
I have a Troy Bilt I got about 18 years ago.
Pretty satisfied overall except for the joystick that runs the chute.
Over time the cables loosen up and sometimes pop out in back of the stick. Usually in the middle of the job.
Retro thinking, I'd rather have the hand crank chute.
Wonder if i can eliminate that and make it old style.
I'd have to find a doner machine and take measurements.

 

I have a backup and another one to repair for a backup and two spare mtd’s which I will pillage and get rid of...

 

I have an 18 year old 9hp 28" yardman that I bought second hand 10 years ago. It had an electric motor to swing the chute which was problematic. I converted it over to a hand crank.
