You: "I bought myself custom headlights and figured it was only fair if I got you something too."

You: "Oh. The new oven has to be used a couple times to break in before we put food in it. "

It does, but measured in Celsius which is just a bit over 300° Fahrenheit not sure exactly without doing the calculations. But oily cotton rags will auto ignite at much lower temperatures. My money is on dryer sheets and or fabric softeners lowering the combustion point even more than 300°. But it is not uncommon for ovens to be off 50 degrees or more though.
